Urban Troubadour String Trio and Flute 2024-2025
K-12, Monday - Friday
A variety of music will be used to illustrate the characteristics of the flute, violin, viola, and cello, with an emphasis on the stringed instruments. This performance includes demonstrations of how sound is created on the instruments, and contemporary and extended uses. Concert employs music across a wide historical span, from classical pieces of Mozart to tangos of Piazzolla, with a look at how music can tell a story. Students will be introduced to modes and scales, as well as harmonies and textures available to this unique instrumentation.

Equipment needed: Four armless straight back chairs and a microphone.

Concerts Available: 3 Days (must schedule 2 concerts at 3 schools for a total of 6 concerts)
