CCM's Hamsa Fund 2024-25
...empowering teens to change the world through philanthropy
The Hamsa Fund teens change the world through philanthropy. This program empowers teens to run a philanthropic foundation, getting hands-on experience addressing problems they see in their community. Hamsa Fund also connects teens, discussing the relationship between social action and their Jewish identities. Together they learn about fundraising, choose a mission statement, research non-profits, fundraise, and distribute funds. For more information, visit: https://www.ccmidrasha.com/hamsa-fund
What skills will Hamsa Fund teens learn? Teens - you will come to consensus with your peers on who you want to support and how you will do so, then you will write a mission statement stating your goals. You will learn outreach strategies and connect with your community to collect donations. Finally, you will personally deliver the gifts to your chosen non-profit organizations at our end-of-year ceremony. Through your participation in Hamsa Fund, you will directly address problems you see in our community and make change by creating impactful solutions.
