Grass Roots Fundraising Campaign


As of September 2025, the North Port Art Center will vacate the two buildings it has
occupied at Sam Shapos Way for 17 years. The City has determined that these two aging
buildings which do not meet current codes must be demolished.

The North Port Art Center is launching a “grass roots” community fundraising campaign
to ensure that North Port residents continue to have an active arts center to meet the growing
needs of a dynamic North Port community.
