Join a Community of Families In Nature! 

We are so excited to share an autumn of exploration, learning, and play with you and your family this season!  Below, you'll find information about the season including dates, pricing, and other details; afterwards, register using the prompts!   Registration for our Art and Farm Experiences beigins on Monday evening, September 9th.

Registration Period: Sunday, September 8th until all spots are filled or Saturday, September 21st at 4PM.  Please email [email protected] to inquire about available spaces for Family Membership once registration is closed, we may be able to accommodate you!

CFIN: Family Membership, Autumn 2024

How it works:

 CFIN Members receive invitations to eight unique, nature-based activities for families with one or more children throughout the season!  Our season includes three hikes focused on enjoying some of the wonderful family-friendly trails that can be found in Howard County, three outings focused on exploration, discovery, learning, and play in nature , one Art and Farm Experience at Freetown Farm, and automatic registration for your family in our seasonal community event!  

CFIN outings are suitable for all ages (although strollers or carriers may be necessary for very small folks for our hikes) and take place in natural areas in and around Howard County, Maryland.  With a CFIN Seasonal Membership, your entire family will enjoy a variety of nature-based events curated and led by our team of passionate and knowledgeable educators!

CFIN: Autumn 2024 CFIN Event Sundays: September 22nd, October 6th, October 20th, November 3rd, November 17th, and December 8th all events 2:00PM-4:00PM.  We also have an inclement weather make up date scheduled for Sunday, December 15th. 

In addition, your Membership covers one of our Art and Farm Experiences; shortly after your registration is received, you will receive an email asking which Art and Farm Experience you would like to be added to and which family members will attend.

Finally, each season we hold a Community Event; our autumn event is held the day after Thanksgiving.  Your registration automatically adds you to the guest list for CFIN's Opt Outside Event: Green Friday Fun.  This is generally a very popular event which fills quickly (75 participants last year!); Green Friday Fun is held at a Patapsco State Park location.

$110 -- Family Membership

$160 -- Sponsor a Family--Membership for your family and to help cover the membership of families in need of assistance

$50 -- Family Membership with Financial Support
