Hubert Thevenin

Hubert Thevenin Jr., a proud Haitian American from Brockton, MA, has always demonstrated a deep commitment to community service and financial literacy. A graduate of UMass Dartmouth, with dual bachelor’s degrees in Accounting & Finance, an MBA, and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification, Hubert's work has always focused on empowering others. Through his companies, X Investments LLC and Clutch Finance, he helps his community develop better budgeting, investing, and saving habits. His dedication to giving back is also evident in his involvement with Sigma Phi Rho Fraternity Inc., where he actively participated in mentorship programs, food pantries, and donation drives.

Hubert’s passion aligns seamlessly with his role at Follow My Steps Foundation, where he strives to enhance the foundation’s growth and continue making an impact through financial literacy mentorship. As he states, "I joined Follow My Steps to help bring growth to the Foundation and continue the passion of community work and financial literacy mentoring to those in need."

At Follow My Steps Foundation, transformation and innovation are at the heart of everything we do. Programs like Shooting for Success, hosted at the iconic Basketball Hall of Fame, and our career workshops within the Thrive Over Survive program are carefully designed to equip our Explorers with both the academic and personal growth they need to succeed. These initiatives have helped our youth push beyond boundaries, while our partnerships with Springfield Public Schools have allowed us to apply real-world skills into our curricula, providing an enriched educational experience.

The annual Mentoring Matters 5K has blossomed into a community-wide event, where beyond just a race, participants receive school supplies, build camaraderie, and engage in a broader celebration of educational empowerment. The impact of our programs is not possible without the support from our donors.
