Benches for Betterment

Thank you for your interest in sponsoring a new bench for the Village of Alexandria Bay Tennis Courts!

Since the Betterment-sponsored renovations in 2019, the tennis courts at the Village have once again become a popular place for the community...especially with the rise of interest in pickle ball! Many days there are now up to 30 some people waiting to use the four courts.

Currently there are some old wooden benches remaining that are splintering and unsafe. The Alexandria Bay Chapter of The Foundation for Community Betterment is partnering with community members to add more benches to the courts so our community can continue to enjoy this space. 

We hope to order 10 new benches through Betterment with your help. Each bench will costs $600 to purchase. Through our Immediate Need Fund, Betterment will cover half of that cost for each bench ($300) with each sponsor/donor covering the remaining $300.

Each bench purchased will include one plaque honoring Community Betterment's work in Alexandria Bay and a second plaque honoring whoever/whatever you choose! This sponsorship and plaque could be in MEMORY, in HONOR, in SUPPORT, a business name, etc. 

If you would like to pair with someone and sponsor a bench together, we can add a third plaque with an additional name or business for $100.
