Instructor: Jessika Raisor
Saturday June 21st | 10am-4pm
This hands-on workshop will introduce you to the fascinating fibers used in papermaking and their unique roles in creating stunning, dried paper. You’ll learn to make your own sheets of paper using traditional methods and upcycled materials. We’ll guide you through the process of collecting and preparing natural fabric scraps, breaking down the fibers, and turning them into paper pulp. Experiment with vibrant dyes to personalize your pulp and discover how to incorporate unique fabric off-cuts into your designs. Throughout the session, you’ll have the opportunity to pull your own sheets of paper and experiment with different fiber contents, discovering how to create patterns and textures that reflect your individual style.
