Hurricane Florence - Preparing for the worst September 13, 2018
As you are probably already aware, Hurricane Florence is already starting to pound the east coast starting in Wilmington, NC. Currently, I'm writing this from the Charlotte airport where I am ready to head to Richmond, VA, then onto the coast of NC on Saturday where I intend to travel down the coastline if I am permitted and if roads are not flooded.
Hurricane Matthew, a Cat 1 hurricane devastated inland parts of NC with massive flooding. I was able to drive through parts of the area from Oak Island heading to Charlotte, along a path that unfortunately had many reroutes due to neighborhoods absolutely covered in water - some up to 20' deep. I've never seen flooding like that before! What they're anticipating for the Carolina cost beginning today may make Hurricane Matthew's wrath look piddly in nature.
Please consider supporting our efforts of rebuilding today! Using the links provided, 100% of your donation will be directly used to rebuild our old stomping ground of Oak Island.
Thank you and God Bless!
