The only thing more exciting and rewarding than talking about what therapy animals do is actually being out there with an animal partner doing it.
Imagine being in a facility at this time of year, disconnected from family and friends, in pain, feeling sad and worried, and in walks a beautiful, clean dog with kind eyes and a cheerful face, reminding you of all that is still good in the world. The handler has a kind face also, and asks if you'd like a visit. You forget your pain and worry and connect with that soft, furry love machine.
No wonder people tell us that we made their day!
Consider making an end of year donation to help Therapy Animals of Utah train more therapy teams, mentor and support them, assess more facilities and train their staff to work with our teams, and make more visits throughout Utah. You can be part of this important work!
