This holiday season, why not give to a cause that provides for the entire community? By giving to the Friends of the Roseville Public Library, you can help us in our pursuit to preserve the existing services and programs offered by the Roseville Public Library. Due to the City of Roseville's general fund deficit, our public libraries face deep cuts in the coming years that could include closures of branches, reduced hours, and reduced or eliminated programming.
Public libraries offer valuable services to the entire community at little or no cost, which is why many have called them "the great equalizer." And it is more than just access to books. Public libraries provide literacy programs for young and old, resources to veterans, a safe place for our youth after school or during the summer, broadband internet access, and several other services to anyone in the community. This is why we need to protect our public libraries.
Our current revenue model of selling donated books, applying for grants, and collecting donations from a small group of members is no longer viable to supplement the general fund dollars. As we work to diversify our sources of revenue to support the Roseville Public Library, we ask that you help us spread the word and kindly consider donating to our cause this holiday season. Thank you.
