SEEKING THE MOST TALENTED OF OUR TRIBE!
Limmud Atlanta & Southeast is celebrating 10 YEARS of Jewish Learning! To celebrate, we’ll be learning and performing the words of Torah together as one unified community!
Do you love Jewish learning? Is your organization leading in 21st century Jewish life in Atlanta? Is being part of a cutting edge, first of its kind event THE place you want to be? Do you enjoy creating songs, raps, skits, dance or performance art? If your answers are yes, then Atlanta’s Got Torah is for you!
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Members of your organization - such as synagogues, day schools, afterschool programs, entrepreneurial Jewish organizations and community agencies. Please make sure that the majority of your team is 18+.
WHAT WILL YOU CREATE?
Each team will prepare a 3-5 minute performance. The performances, similar to a talent competition, could be musical, dance, drama or any other conceivable performance. The fundamental condition is that the performances have to represent and convey a piece of Jewish text of the team’s choice. Teams will perform for the community at the Atlanta's Got Torah show on Sunday, May 13 from 3p-5p at the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta.
WHAT HELP WILL YOU GET?
A team representative will participate in a 2 hour workshop, on Sunday, March 25th, 1p-3p, location TBD. Come with your talent & text and Ori Salzberg of Meaningful Media (and Bible Raps fame) will coach you on the structure of your performance, help brainstorm ideas, coordinate peer support, and help you develop your performance ideas.
ENTRY FEE: During this inaugural year, participation is only $120 per team, which helps cover training and event costs.
All Teams Get:
• Inclusion in an upcoming AJT story
• Inclusion in a commemorative video
• “Mad props” from the entire Atlanta Jewish community!
Teams will compete for:
• The coveted Atlanta’s Got Torah trophy
• First prize of LimmudFest tickets for one family (up to 2 adults and 3 kids)
