The Chris Canty Foundation is excited to host the 2nd Women For Literacy Book Fair in Charlotte, NC. This event will be held at Barnes & Noble Book Store located at 3327 Pineville-Matthews Road, Charlotte NC, 28226. We are inviting all professional women to come out and network while supporting the literacy education of youth in Charlotte Mecklenburg. There will have several professional women and authors on site during this event to discuss various topics including family, education, finance, health, relationships, hair-care and more to promote and raise awareness for literacy education. Barnes & Nobles has partnered with the Chris Canty Foundation to feature several book authors, and professional women. This is a great time to purchase a book for yourself, finish up your Christmas shopping for family and friends, or purchase a book to donate to a child. This is a family friendly event so we are also inviting men and children of all ages as well to come out and DONATE A BOOK, BUY A CUP OF COFFEE, A PASTRY AND MORE to help us raise awareness and support for youth literacy education in our communities and schools. We are asking everyone to purchase a book for a child or for a loved one at the book fair at Barnes & Noble on that day. Any books that are donated will be used in the Chris Canty Foundation Reading Buddies Initiative. This initiative focuses on encouraging elementary students to build relationships with positive role models from the community and each other, have fun reading and learning, raise awareness of various topics in the community, and nurture a love and excitement for reading and talking about books. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the programs and initiatives of the Chris Canty Foundation. Your gift is tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law. In accordance with IRS regulations, which directly helps to meet the needs of the Chris Canty Foundation and all of our efforts. The Chris Canty Foundation is a 501(C)(3) Nonprofit Organization.
