ABEN Summer Institute @ Stanford University
Pedagogies & Practices for Successfully Reaching African American Students
From 2002 - 2011, the California Alliance of African American Educators (CAAAE) offered summer institutes at Stanford University (8 years) and UCLA (2 years) featuring some of the nation's best and brightest education researchers and practitioners. Our 13th Summer Institute furthers that tradition with truly brilliant, innovative and committed educators who will share critical knowledge and strategic resources that focus on all aspects of the Local Control Accountability Plans (LCAPs) with an emphasis on reducing suspensions and expulsions of Black and Brown students, improving school culture and climate and enhancing parent engagement.
Visit www.aben4ace.org for a complete list of the past Institute keynoters. This 13th Institute is the first under ABEN: A Black Education Network. It will continue our best practice culturally relevant pedagogies and practice work that began under CAAAE.
It will sell out so register TODAY!
