Friends of Cotuit Library Annual Membership Drive

It takes a village to support our treasure!

Membership fees help the Friends fund the first $10,000 we give each year to the Cotuit Library to support their operations. Individual memberships of $30 or Family memberships of $40, account for 1/3 of that financial commitment. Our goal is to give the Library much more than $10,000 for selected programs. We also underwrite the costs for Museum passes available to the community, children’s summer programs, miscellaneous supplies, staff recognition, etc., not covered by the Library's annual budget. We do additional fundraising through the year to provide monies not raised by our membership campaign. Over the years, we are proud that our contributions have ranged from $15,000 to $20,000.

We are often asked why becoming a member of the Friends non-profit organization is important. Some of you even ask "what's in it for me?" As a Friends’ member, you enjoy reduced fees for luncheons and an extra drawing ticket for prizes at those luncheons, special times at our Annual Book Sale and you are continued on our email communications to stay abreast of coming events.

BUT…the GREATEST BENEFIT of membership is the knowledge and satisfaction that you are making a difference to ensure the present and future status of a "treasure"... our Cotuit Library. We want it to remain the heart of the village for generations to come!
