Harvest Hoedown 2018

Harvest Hoedown:

Get Footloose in the City!

We are honored to celebrate our first annual Champion of Change honoree Ernesto Olivares! Ernesto truly embodies the definition of a Champion of Change. LifeWorks Champion of Change annual Awards celebrates unique leaders who have positively affected the lives of children, youth, families, and communities in Sonoma County. Champions have helped pave the pathways to provide access to mental health services and to address trauma and community needs in an inclusive, thoughtful and creative use of resources in our community. Champions have adapted resources to local needs and extended capabilities to achieve insights, more evidence-based practices, and policies to the needs of our community.

This Sonoma-themed event will feature live music and dancing to the Old Boot Band, live and silent auctions featuring great vacations, as well as other unique offerings. The event will be held at the Saralee and Richard’s Barn at the Sonoma County Event Center, September 22, 2018. We anticipate over 200 guests in attendance this year and our goal is to raise $50,000. The event will be held on September 22, 2018, @ 5:00pm-till the cows come home. All proceeds from the event go directly to program services. For those of you who aren’t familiar with us, we are an organization servicing the mental health needs of children and families in our community. When there is a crisis or life just becomes overwhelming, we are there: our staff of highly-trained professionals works with both individuals and families, and is available to provide services in the home and at school as well as in a clinical setting.

  • We assist children to receive a public education by sending a licensed clinical therapist to give support and the assistance they need to succeed in the classroom.
  • We assist children to stay in their homes and not be moved to a higher level of care away from their family.
  • We offer in-home therapy services to at-risk/ high-risk youth and their families who are expelled or suspended to return to school and graduate from high school.

Together we can make a difference in the lives of those in need to strengthen and improve the mental health of our entire community. All donors will be acknowledged on our website, at the event, event program, our Facebook page and in our newsletter.
