Camp High Trails 6th Gr. ESM Field Trip 2019-2020
School-based experiential outdoor education
Last year, Friends of King was able to partner with our 6th grade ESM teachers to offer students the chance to head to the mountains near Big Bear, California, for the first big adventure of their middle school careers -- an overnight field trip to Camp High Trails Outdoor Science School. This year, we will do the same. For four nights and three days -- from April 21 to 24, 2020 -- students will stay in warm, cozy cabins at residential camp in the middle of the National Forest. While there, our students hike in nature, learn from science classes, build teamwork skills and just have fun. Along with the outdoor science school staff, your child’s teacher will ensure a safe and positive experience.
Friends of King is committed to providing support for enrichment learning opportunities for all students, regardless of a family’s ability to pay. The total cost of the program including transportation is $280 per student. All specified donations will go directly towards the funding of this field trip and are greatly appreciated.
