Bedouin Outreach Followup
Bringing the Gospel to the Lost Tribes
In the spring of 2018 we met an impoverished Bedouin tribe consisting of 300 families (1,500 people) here in the Southern Negev Desert in Israel who need your help!
Let me tell you about them:
These people live on pennies a day, yet they believe in working for themselves—not receiving handouts. They long to see their children become educated and hard working, not idle or addicted to the internet and entertainment. Even though they live in traditional Bedouin tents in impoverished villages, they have a vision for educating and bettering themselves in order to be productive members of society.
These are the "poorest of the poor" that Jesus/Yeshua talks about in Matthew 25:40. "Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me."
Here’s how you can help:
In July and August we hosted an eye-clinic, providing free eye glasses for the tribe and a summer camp to help teach the children about the Love of God.
We've shared Bible stories with them in Arabic, and we've begun conversations about Yeshua-Jesus.
Now it's time to build on our relationships, as we continue to demonstrate the love, power and Word of God to them. Because of their Muslim faith our outreach work with these people must be sensitive, strategic and filled with wisdom.
We have a team ready to go to the tribe bi-weekly with the goal of sharing the Gospel, Bible stories and making disciples. The leader of our followup team is Lou (a single mom) who needs to work to help support her and her son.
Lou has an extensive background with Youth With A Mission. Each month moving forward, she'll be spending time with her follow-up team in prayer, preparation and in follow-up work, which will include story-telling and crafts - all themed around discipleship and utilizing the very fruitful methods of the Disciple Making Movement, which has seen the birth of over 300,000 house churches in Muslim areas in India and Pakistan.
Lou says the time it will take her each month to do the follow-up is the equivalent of one of her part time jobs. We're trusting the Lord to provide those funds and that's where you can help!
Please make a donation today to enable our monthly follow-up work with the Bedouins!
All donations are US tax deductible.
We need your help. No donation is too small. Another way to help is by getting others involved. Please share this campaign with your friends via email and Facebook!
Thanks for your help! We are one Body - one Bride, working together for the furtherance of God's Kingdom on earth!
