We are excited to once again support Casa Circulo Cultural and the Dia de los Muertos celebration (Day of the Dead) at the San Mateo County History Museum and Courthouse Square on Sunday, November 4, 4pm-9pm.
Thank you for your interest in helping us create a beautiful, large chalk art mural. This opportunity is for volunteers age 13 years old or older. No artistic talent is required. You do not need to be an artist to be helpful to this project.
We have three, 4-hour volunteer shifts. The first shift is from 10am-2pm; the second shift is from 2pm-6pm; and the third shift is from 6pm-9:30pm. The first shift volunteers will assist the artist to sketch out the primary mural design. The second and third shift volunteers will assist members of the public to participate in expanding the mural.
Please wear clothing that you don't mind getting dirty, as you will be using chalk and bending and stooping. Please leave purses and other valuables at home as there isn't a safe place for you to store them.
Parking is FREE at the County Garage. The entrance is on Middlefield Rd. near Veteran's Blvd. Street parking is free on Sundays. There is an hourly fee to park in any of the other parking garages.
At the start of your shift, please meet at the Redwood City Parks and Arts Foundation booth located at the corner of Broadway and Hamilton.
If you have any specific questions, contact Susie Peyton at email@example.com.
