Alex Batzar's Bat Mitzvah project 4 Infinite Love
Infinite Love for Kids needs our help!
Hi, my name is Alex. My Bat Mitzvah is coming up shortly. Part of becoming a Bat Mitzvah is doing a mitzvah project. I chose to raise awareness for Infinite Love for Kids Fighting Cancer. Our family has lost loved ones to cancer. I understand how devastating cancer can be for families, and I can only imagine it's even more so when a child is affected. This is what has prompted me to choose this particular organization. My Mom and Dad just went to the yearly gala that the organization holds in Long Branch, NJ. The Infinite Love community is close to raising one million dollars in funds for pediatric cancer research. I would like to help raise awareness and also help them to reach their goals.
The organization started in Middletown, NJ from the grass roots efforts of a local woman in our town. My sister Leigh is in the same graduating class as one of her two daughters. Because childhood cancer is very underfunded, it prompted Andrea Verdone Gorsegner to start this wonderful organization. Pediatric cancer only receives 4% of the National Cancer Institute's (NCI) annual research budget. The goal of Infinite Love is to get more research dollars for finding better treatments for children. I want to help Infinite Love in this fight to discover better treatments for kids as the current medicines are too strong for their little bodies. The organization makes large donations yearly to hospitals doing pediatric cancer research and they also help families effected by the disease.
Please help me to reach my goal of $5000.00, these kids need all of our help!
