End-of-Year Giving Campaign
WE Ride & Bike Club
In 2018 we launched two new youth bike programs: Women Empowerment Ride (WE Ride) & Bike Club. You can help support the work we are doing to provide bike education and opportunities to youth of all ages by making a donation. Specifically, in 2019 we would like to be able to purchase athletic gear for participants in youth programs that helps make biking all the more enjoyable. This includes quick-dry hijabs & technical athletic long-sleeves, high-vis branded jackets, shoes if kids need them, as well as helmets and other safety gear we might need. If we are fortunate enough to make it onto your giving list this season, your generosity is gratefully received.
WE Ride: 9- to 14-year-old girls & Bike Club: K-3rd graders are programs created in collaboration with Neighborhood Centers of Johnson County. Together we are able to offer customized after-school bicycle safety programming in the Spring, a camp for young women to learn ride in the Summer, and adult-lead bicycle rides to and from school in the Fall.
Donations at the $150 level and higher will receive a limited-edition 13x19 "Bikes Create Community" print made by local artist Alexandra Janezic. Your donation will go to helping us expand WE Ride, Bike Club and Bike Library operations.
We believe that every kids deserves to have a properly fitting, functional bicycle. Thank you for joining us in getting more kids in Johnson County riding to school, for recreation, transportation, and adventure.
Peace and grease,
