Lisa Mitchell, Celebrity Dancer
2019 Dancing for the Arts Gala supporting Maryland Center for the Arts
"Whatever genre you gravitate towards whether it be music, dance, or artwork, it is an expression of joy that you give to others to appreciate." - Lisa Mitchell, VP of Human Resources at APGFCU.
Lisa Mitchell, Vice President of Human Resources at Aberdeen Proving Ground Federal Credit Union will be a "Celebrity Dancer" in the 1950s Havana Club-themed Dancing for the Arts Gala to raise $10,000+ to support the nonprofit mission of the Maryland Center for the Arts (MDCFA) to provide the regional community with creative and collaborative experiences in all forms of the arts, and build a center to provide regional artists and arts groups with accessible space to present performances, exhibitions and educational programs in the arts.
Upon receipt of building permits and approvals, the Maryland Center for the Arts will break ground on its 41-acre site along South Tollgate Rd in Bel Air, Maryland to build an amphitheater with a seating capacity of 1,000; and the first of three community centers to provide space for catered special events, performances, exhibitions, and educational programs with flexible seating for 325-500. In the subsequent building phases, the Maryland Center for the Arts will build two additional centers to house studios, classrooms, and theaters for educational programs in the arts.
