West Virginia VOAD responds to disaster-related needs across the entire state of West Virginia, addressing both immediate issues such as supplying food and water to local organizations and/or recovery needs such as mucking out a house, rebuilding a primary access bridge.
Since June 23, 2016, in each of the twelve counties devastated by the historic thousand-year flood, member organizations, partners, and volunteers, have assisted over 2,300 West Virginia families to return to safe, secure, sanitary housing, through 3,261,000 volunteer hours, delivering over $43.5 million in services to families in West Virginia.
WV VOAD is prideful of the services and contributions made by volunteers. Their hard work and dedication of assisting families in need is the driving force to helping families recover from disaster.
