February 2, 2019 - Afternoon Beach Cleanup at Ka'ehu, Maui (Wailuku)
THIS IS AN ALL AGES AND FREE EVENT! Join us Saturday, February 2nd, at Ka'ehu Beach, Maui as we join the local community and world renowned artists from PangeaSeed, for a large scale beach cleanup and celebration of the SeaWalls Artists for Oceans campaign.
Check in starts at 1pm, and we will clean-up and have fun from 1:30-4pm. Then, join us for educational games, music, and a luau from 4-6pm in thanks for the effort to keep our beaches clean, and becoming change makers in our everyday lives. If you can't make it at 1pm, no worries. Come when you can.
Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii is excited to return to this beach for the first time since 2016! Rocky coastlines that collect debris washing in from the North Pacific gyre can be a bit sharp to walk on, shoes/slippers are advised, as well as reef safe sunscreen and a reusable water bottle.
