What Is Nonprofit Excellence?
Core responsibilities for nonprofit leaders
Bring your lunch and join us for our second Leaders' Lunch & Learn session, where Cinzia Perlingieri, our Director of Learning & Leadership, will discuss the six pillars of nonprofit leadership and will share a template for self-evaluation.
In modern nonprofits, organizational mission and performance are inextricably linked. Today’s nonprofit leaders cannot afford to expend resources on efforts that are based primarily on good intentions and wishful thinking and need to focus on meaningful and measurable change.
We will talk about:
- Strong, responsive leadership
- People-oriented management
- Strategic problem-solving
- Well-designed and well-implemented programs and strategies
- Financial health and stability
CVNL has applied these principles to the curriculum of the new Excellence in Leadership Program (ELP). In this LL&L, Cinzia will also provide an overview of the program that will launch in April 2019.
About Cinzia: Empowering people through education and professional development is Cinzia’s mantra and is the focus of her work. After a career in academia, Cinzia’s nonprofit experience started in 2009 when she co-founded a nonprofit organization aimed at helping cultural institutions to digitally preserve and publish cultural heritage collections. During her years with that organization, Cinzia created successful learning programs and institutional partnerships.
