Medical Fund Debt

Whisker City is currently carrying just over 10,000 in medical fund debt. Our medical fund is never flush and we continue to fund the high quality care we always have provided.

We currently provide continued medical care for 13 cats considered long stay cats with special needs. All of our veterinary care is provided by Eastlake Veterinary Clinic and Emerald City Pet Rescue.

Senior cats spend more time at the shelter than other cats do. It costs us more to care for an older cat because of this additional time. Regardless of age, all cats receive a complete check-up when they arrive and are spayed or neutered and micro-chipped. Our older cats often need more extensive medical care when they arrive and the Whisker City Medical Fund makes that possible.
