Farmers Market Metrics Program

Across the US farmers market managers are diving into data collection. They are learning that data helps them better promote, run and fund their markets. Are you ready to join them?

We have 2 options this year.

You can join the full metrics training program or commit to only counting visitors once during Farmers Market Week.

The details are below.

As a thank you for joining either of these programs, you will receive an electronic copy of VAFMA's Social Media Content Calendar with special dates, marketing ideas & monthly tips to help you plan your farmers market promotions.

2 OPTIONS (Choose One):

Metrics Training Program: (VAFMA membership Required)

Watch training webinars at your own pace, attend optional monthly Q&A sessions with other market managers and get FREE access to the Farmers Market Metrics data portal & graphics ($252 value!) Returning metrics program participants are encouraged to join again for 2019.

  • Your Commitment: Count your market visitors at least 4 times during the summer season of 2019 (including once during Farmers Market Week), Add the Farmers Market Coalition’s 11 questions to your vendor application. Share this data with VAFMA & FMC. Only staff from VAFMA and FMC will see individual market data. We only share aggregate totals publicly (such as region or statewide averages)

Visitor Count Week: August 4 - 10, 2019

Help us demonstrate the popularity of farmers markets in Virginia! We are rallying all farmers markets to count their market visitors once during Farmers Market Week. We will combine all of the counts to share the statewide total.

  • Your Commitment: Count your market visitors once during National Farmers Market Week in 2019 and share that number with VAFMA.
