Upper-Level Spring 2019 Registration!
Creating lifelong cyclists, one ride at a time!
This is the registration portal for all Upper-Level (middle school and up) Devo programs for the Spring, 2019!
New this Fall, anyone who registers on or before MARCH 1ST will receive a Devo jersey with their registration (this is an offer for Upper-Level Programs only).
Upper Level Fall programs include:
TOP SECRET TRAINING CAMP! Scheduled April 12-14! Every year, in a remote location deep in the New Mexican desert, dozens of riders, coaches, and special guests return to Durango Devo's Top Secret Training Camp. They come to train, to build, to teach -- to shred.
Some of these riders have been coming to this spot for over half a decade now, many who first learned how to jump or how to a tricky double rock step here now serve as an inspiration to the younger generations of rippers -- soaring through the air and floating through rock gardens with style and ease.
Each year, the riders return and rebuild the camp -- adding to the remains of previous years, creating a bigger and better playground... this is their creation.
U19 for Boys and Girls (*New program structure! More info here: http://durangodevo.com/2019-upper-schedule/)
Devo Flyers: The Devo Flyers group is for competent riders aged 6th-12th grade. Riders in 6th or 7th grade will need to talk to a coach to see if the program is fitting. The Flyers focus on gravity oriented bike sports and learn the ins and outs of Enduro, DH, dirt-jumping, and more. This group is all about big air, big tires, and having fun in the down-hill direction! Contact Rob Nichols (email@example.com) for more information!
U14 Girls and U14 Boys: The Devo U14 group is for middle schoolers interested in continuing to build skills and ability on the bike. Although these youth may still be interested in other sports, this group is more serious than Junior Devo. The U14’s meet more often and have the option of traveling to races and going on camping/riding trips with their coaches. Racing is not mandatory. Promoting the sport in a fun environment and learning skills is still the overall goal of U14. Fall U14 riders get to look forward to a season-culminating adventure trip! 2nd Avenue Sports gives the U14 and U19 teams discounts for all riders on the teams. Contact Chad Cheeney (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information!
Explorers Ramblers (Middle School Ages)
Explorers Trailblazers (High School Ages)
Explorers All Girls (Middle and High School)
The Devo Explorers are a middle school-high school weekly program for riders looking to learn the fundamentals of mountain biking in a non-competitive environment. This is one of our fastest growing programs, and is always a blast! Contact Jon Bailey (email@example.com) or Nan Cresto (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information about joining the Devo Explorers! For information about the All-Girls Group, contact Sarah Tescher at email@example.com The Devo Explorers have three different options: 1. The Ramblers group is for riders age 6th grade and up. Ramblers is for those kids who are newer to the Explorers group and don’t have as much experience camping or bikepacking. 2. The Trailblazers group is for high schoolers or 8th graders with previous explorer experience.
3. An All Girls group, for rad chicas looking to get into the sport of bikepacking!
The goal of the program is to learn how to use bikes as tools for exploring and self-sufficiency (touring, commuting, bike building, etc). Each session ends with a self-supported camping/touring trip the heart of the Southwest. Gear will be available for loan through Pine Needle Mountaineering and Durango Cyclery for those without the necessary gear and equipment.
