In the near term the suites and the rooms on the west end can be rented for cash flow. It’s very possible Whidbey General will be able to fill them with the construction contractors.
Long range plan will utilize all spaces for Transition Housing, have Life Skills Education and on the job training experience. The July 2015 appraisal values the real estate portion for the motel parcel at 775K (the ongoing concern value as 800K). There are other comparable offers SaviBank has turned down to facilitate this transaction because they see the value this brings to our community. Let’s face it. The kids won’t care about the jet noise or the landfill and Island Transit across the street provides accessibility island wide for all children in need.
