February Snowshoe Hike
See your watershed! Hike in the snowy Stanislaus National Forest
Tuolumne River Trust is leading a free interpretive snowshoe hike at Dodge Ridge in the Stanislaus National Forest. Participants will learn about natural and human history, snow hydrology, and plant and animal adaptations in the Tuolumne River Watershed.
LOCATION CLARIFICATION: Those interested in this hike should meet at 9 am at the Crabtree Trailhead located off of Dodge Ridge Road just before the entrance of the Dodge Ridge parking lot. (1 Dodge Ridge Rd, Pinecrest, CA 95364). Tuolumne River Trust staff and volunteers will be present to help direct you to the right location. DO NOT navigate to Crabtree Trailhead, as there are two separate locations that can appear on GPS.
We will arrive back at the dodge ridge parking lot around 12 pm, so we encourage hikers to pack a lunch, snacks, and plenty of water.
It is important that you dress appropriately, in warm clothes and layers. Depending on amount of snowfall, snowshoes will be necessary, but not provided. Participants are responsible for bringing their own snowshoes.
