Oahu's Dirtiest Beach Cleanup w/Wanderlust Fest
February 28, 2019 - Wanderlust Cleanup at Kahuku
^THOSE ARE FISH BITES!^
Join Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii, Chelsey Korus and Eoin Finn on an adventure to a beautiful deserted beach rarely visited by anything other than endangered monk seals, turtles, and fish. Sadly though, Kahuku Beach is also one of the dirtiest beaches on the island where plastic pollution from thousands of miles away washes ashore after a strenuous journey through the North Pacific Garbage Patch (the Gyre). Be a part of our team as we show the Kahuku Coastline aloha by removing as much plastic pollution as we can.
Buses start leaving at 2:30PM and run on shuttle every 30 minutes until 5:30PM. If you are not a part of the Wanderlust Festival you ARE STILL TOTALLY INVITED!!!!!!
For the locals, join us right after school!
Join us to jump on the shuttle at Turtle Bay Resort in the lobby or join us directly at the James Campbell Wildlife Refuge.
