Emma's Heat Alarm Systems
Please help Emma, daughter of K9s United Founder Debbie Johnson, raise money for the advanced and life saving Ace K9 Heat Alarm Systems!
There are key components to this life saving heat alarm system and all are required to assure the safety of our K9 heroes. K9s United ensures law enforcement agencies can focus on keeping our streets safe, not how they can acquire this much needed equipment.
The HOT-N-POP PRO monitors vital components including temperature sensors and police vehicle battery voltage and shows the information on a back-lit display. Under alarm conditions, the unit activates an S.O.S. horn honk signal; siren, light-bar activation and dual window drop to immediately equalize the internal temperature of the vehicle. The door popper feature releases the K9 from the vehicle by remote control worn in a holster.
The "Leave No K9 Behind" feature keeps the system ON until the K9 is removed from the police vehicle. Only when they open the rear door where the K9 is located and remove the K9, will the system actually shut down.
The "Ace Watchdog" offers a ‘one glance of a smart phone’ that gives the K9 handler peace of mind that their K9 is safe. This application works wherever cell service is connected and provides real time statistics about the vehicle including cabin temperature, whether the car is running, and what the battery level of the vehicle is at this exact time. It also allows the handler to receive notifications BEFORE danger ever happens. These notifications can be received by multiple people; including other officers and even dispatch.
K9s United has a close partnership in purchasing these life saving heat alarms, so we are able to recieve a substantial discount, stretching your donor dollar. A heat alarm, including installation can cost close to $2,000 (with our savings). Our goal for 2019 is to raise $50,000, so we may purchase 25 heat alarms.
Saving money, saving lives, protecting communities - it’s just that important! Thank you!
