Help get our tennis courts fixed!
The Alexandria Bay Chapter of Community Betterment would like to raise funds to help resurface and structurally repair the tennis courts, nets, and net posts owned by the village municipality. These courts are used by numerous groups, nonprofits, the local high school tennis teams, and individuals both young and old. The courts are 40 years old and are in disrepair.
These are the same courts where Betterment hosts its annual memorial tennis tournament for John N. Russell, who was a strong supporter of Betterment and a long time community leader and avid tennis player.
Pickle Ball lines will also be added to an upper court to expand the use for this fun and upcoming sport.
This effort is a coordination between The Foundation for Community Betterment Alexandria Bay Chapter, Public And Youth Improvement Team, Inc (PAYIT), and local donors.
Courts should be ready for play sometime in June!
