The WES Foundation 2019
The WES Foundation is excited to announce our 3rd annual WES Foundation Fundamental Football & Cheerleading Camp, a FREE one-day camp experience for Horry County area student-athletes. The purpose of this camp is to provide area youth with the opportunity to enhance their football and cheerleading skills and to provide them guidance and instruction that will assist them in becoming successful, productive members of our community.
WES stands for “Working Everyday = Success.” Because of community support, over the last two years we were able to provide a FREE camp to more than over 250 young student-athletes that were rising 3rd to 8th graders. At the camp, we brought together these young men with over 40 coaches and numerous other volunteers to emphasize the meaning of the Foundation’s name. This year, The Wes Foundation has added Cheerleading Training to our camp.
Our camp is led by Coach Everette Sands, who played football at Conway High and The Citadel and who has more than 20 years of collegiate coaching experience. The majority of our other coaches are also former student-athletes (collegiately and professionally). We also bring in other community leaders to address our campers. Our mission is to provide our campers not only with the fundamentals in football, but, more importantly, to provide them with the fundamentals of life. We know that over the last two years, our camp has had a positive impact on the Horry County community. The camp will be held this year on June 29, 2019, at the Conway Recreation Center! A Banquet honoring Conway Rec. League Football Champions will be held the night of June 28, 2019.
