Hannah's Internship Fundraising
I am a 20 year old student at Texas A&M studying Pre-Nursing with hopes of becoming a midwife or Hospice nurse. This particular call to “put out into deep water” has been placed on my heart for years on end, and in a more specific way, through the Church’s teaching on human sexuality. I’ve attended ECHO (Theology of the Body camp) numerous times, always being transformed in newer and more beautiful ways. Learning about the specific purpose and the beauty of sexuality has set my heart free.
"As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So my soul pants for You, O God.” Psalm 42.
Through each of my summers spent with Dumb Ox Ministries, my cup has been filled to overflowing. Now, I desire to spend even more time with them, to learn what they do as a ministry and how they do it, so I can be equipped to bring their mission wherever I go.
This coming Fall, I will be interning with Dumb Ox Ministries in New Orleans, Louisiana. I will spend my time in prayer and service to their ministry, being fed by daily mass, prayer, and study. The mission of Dumb Ox Ministries is to cultivate authentic human relationships through the Theology of the Body; something so very needed in a world confused about who we are. This will be a time of becoming who God meant me to be so that I may set the world on fire.
First and foremost, I ask you for your prayers. Second, if you are able to help financially in any way, your donation will be used solely to pay for my living and travel expenses. Please know that you will be in my prayers as I go through this time of great growth.
Peace of Christ,
“It is Jesus that you seek when you dream of happiness; He is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you; He is the beauty to which you are so attracted; it is He who provoked you with that thirst for fullness that will not let you settle for compromise; it is He who urges you to shed the masks of a false life; it is He who reads in your heart your most genuine choices, the choices that others try to stifle.
It is Jesus who stirs in you the desire to do something great with your lives, the will to follow an ideal, the refusal to allow yourselves to be ground down by mediocrity, the courage to commit yourselves humbly and patiently to improving yourselves and society, making the world more human and more fraternal.”
-Pope John Paul II
