The goal of the Annual Ventura County Housing Conference is to engage the public, housing professionals, and elected officials in an action-oriented annual conference which will increase awareness of issues surrounding the supply, need and cost of housing in Ventura County. This years' theme "Taking a Closer Look" entails examines the area's housing cost, availability and development process in order to develop real-world solutions, partnerships and greater understanding.

Conference attendees will learn what local municipal leaders are doing to address the development industries' concerns, housing shortage and affordability, and Sacramento's directives.
A team from Cal State University Channel Islands will dispel some housing myths and bring into closer focus our current situation and trajectory.
Building on our February Housing Issues Forum, there will be both formal and informal opportunity to build effective dialog between the industry, municipal leaders and the public.
"Taking a closer look" will provide practical, real-world solutions to address housing in Ventura County.
An expanded exhibit area and time-frame will include other innovative ideas presented by local businesses and community organizations.
