Literacy Chicago Celebrating the Love of Literacy
51 Years of Tuition Free Adult Education
On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers and students of Literacy Chicago, we are pleased to announce Literacy Chicago: Celebrating the Love of Literacy, an event celebrating our organization’s rich legacy of adult education.
This year’s event on Thursday, September 12, 6:00- 10:00 pm, will welcome nearly 200 guests. We will be holding our gala at the Writer’s Museum. This 2-year old museum’s mission is to engage the public in celebrating American writers and exploring their influence on our history, our identity, our culture, and our daily lives. Guests will have the museum to themselves and be able to visit the rich and interactive displays. There will be a silent auction, a live auction and surprise speakers!
