WOMEN'S RHINO CUP CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
“NO TO THE KILLING OF RHINOS”

"We, the ladies from Full Primary Schools and the Secondary Schools of Moamba District, Mozambique call for financial support to make this project come true as a means to contradict the boys’ ideas to kill rhinos to benefit only their own lives and make the rhinos disappear from nature. We are joining the Rhino Cup Champions League with the positive manifest and feelings to tell the boys “NO TO THE KILLING OF RHINOS”. With participation in this league, it is possible for us to take part in the fight against the killing of the rhinos.”
The Women's Rhino Cup Champions League is a conservation project requested by the communities from Sabié, and Corumana, in the Mozambique district of Maputo, and currently consists of ten soccer teams from six local schools and managed by the school teachers from the respective schools.
For some, it’s their first rural women's soccer league. For others, it’s their first opportunity to participate in a sports activity of any kind. For all of us, it’s a chance to reaffirm our support for wildlife conservation with a little sweat equity.
Our major goal of Wild & Free Foundation in 2021 is to raise awareness and financial support for conservation causes that are close to our hearts — causes that are making crucial differences to the wildlife, land, water, and communities.
Our mission is to protect African rhinos by engaging and uplifting communities next to wildlife reserves where rhino poachers live. One of our most successful projects is the Rhino Cup Champions League, an organized soccer league where the players are the young men of rhino poacher age.
We strongly believe in the mission of Wild & Free Foundation, that by engaging and empowering the people we can protect endangered wildlife. Whether you’ve traveled to Africa before, seen a rhino in person or dream of doing so in the future, please join our efforts to support rhino conservation and the communities that surround wildlife reserves!
Thank you for your support!
