Join us for a medieval evening of feasting and entertainment in the elegant halls of Woodlawn Chapel for our "Renaissance Feast" Benefit Dinner Theatre event. A five course meal carefully crafted by the Bon Temps Grill will be served. The first course being a traditional warm mulled wine called Wassail. The second course will include a butternut squash bisque with cream and tasso. Staying true to our Renaissance theme, the main course will be a serving of sliced beef roast and roasted root vegetables. You will want to save room for the fourth course, dessert, which will be a mouth watering bread pudding with rum sauce. Finally we will close our meal with hot coffee and some of Tony Mayard's most famous and scrumptious home made biscotti. Wine and water will be served throughout the course of the meal and a cash bar will be available for those who want a little something more.
Guests will be delighted by the Woodlawn Players who will be entertaining us with theatre throughout the evening. We will also revel in the sound of period Renaissance music performed by Gypsy Dawn Consort. We encourage all guests to dress in Renaissance costume to enhance our evening even further.
All proceeds from this benefit event will go towards bringing the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra to Abbeville for a free to the public concert in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church February 12, 2020. We look forward to sharing an evening of enchantment and delight with you!!
