American Renaissance School (ARS) is a K-8 charter school in downtown Statesville. Our mission is to ensure a standard of academic excellence by providing a nurturing environment that allows each child to reach their fullest potential as students and citizens. Our vision is to be the best choice for education in North Carolina.

As a public charter school, ARS must meet the same educational expectations as traditional public schools while receiving less funding. Charter schools do not receive state capital funds for facilities, state salary pool funds, lottery funds, or local bonds like standard public schools; therefore, fundraising is a necessity.
