CEID *Virtual* Walk-A-Thon 2020
Saturday April 25th
The Center for Early Intervention on Deafness provides exemplary audiology and education services to maximize potential for children & adults who are deaf or hard of hearing.
We are adapting CEID services to meet the needs of families and patients at this challenging and unprecedented time. Our work continues as does our need, so we are asking for your participation in our re-imagined Virtual Walk-A-Thon! Just as in past years, this event relies on grassroots support, and more so now than ever.
CEID Alumni and Families, we are calling ALL of you! Join your decade team. Check out ways to show CEID pride here: www.ceid.org/alumni.
On our Walk-A-Thon day, Saturday, April 25th, we'll connect via live stream as Executive Director Cindy Dickeson and Facility Dog Nan walk and share with you. We’ll connect and have fun "walking together" while we share videos, and inspiring messages.
Here's how to participate in our 2020 Virtual Walk-A-Thon:
1) Create a Fundraising Page: Share your story with your community via email or social media to help raise awareness of CEID and raise money for CEID programs. Donations of any amount are meaningful and appreciated!
2) Register: Each registrant will receive a commemorative 40th Anniversary t-shirt designed by a Prospect Sierra student (pickup at CEID, time to be arranged).
3) Walk Where You Are: On Saturday, April 25th at 10am, join our Facebook or Instagram live stream and then take a walk, run, or roll in your neighborhood. Take a selfie and post it (make sure to tag CEID!).
Your generosity means so much as we continue to promote communication, access to language, community, and connection. Together, we will continue to make a real difference for children and adults who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
