Groundswell Stewardship Initiative

Support Students and Stewardship in Kent & Ottawa counties!

Groundswell has been a regional hub of the Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative since 2009 and is a coalition of community partners and educators creating opportunities for hands-on environmental exploration and learning through professional learning opportunities, project support, and meaningful partnerships.

Groundswell serves schools and communities in Kent and Ottawa counties and is hosted by Grand Valley State University. In its work with schools, this hub emphasizes youth voice, active and meaningful stewardship, and strong connections to the schools’ curricula.
