In 2017, LTM launched PASSPORT TO LTM to help ensure that all interested community members, regardless of their ability to afford it, have access to quality performing arts programs. This program has allowed us to offer free or discounted tickets to groups who are historically underserved by fine arts programs—young adults, families, and racially and ethnically diverse groups. In 2019, we are expanding the mission of PASSPORT TO LTM to include underwriting of children’s programming. This new tactic will allow us to provide exceptional, transformative theatrical experiences that are accessible to family audiences.
After two full years of PASSPORT TO LTM, LTM has provided free tickets to nearly 500 individuals from groups such as MACC Charities; MARC, Inc., of Manchester; MARCH, Inc. of Manchester; CAST Children's Theatre; United Schools Association; Veterans Support Foundation; Manchester Community College, and Eastern Connecticut State University. Additionally, we provided 250 tickets to mission-aligned membership groups and local businesses and 200 tickets to LTM members and volunteers.
PASSPORT TO LTM addresses a specific need in the Manchester community: ensuring that all interested community members, regardless of their ability to afford it, have access to quality performing arts programs. Our goal for 2020 is to serve more people.
