Supporting Special Education in Ghana
Africa in Memory of Angie Holman
Angie's Fund was established in October 2019, after Ty and Cailey Holman visited a special education classroom in Winneba, Ghana with the Colorado to Ghana team. They recently lost a very special member of their family, Angie, due to complications with her disability. Cailey described the visit as both "healing and powerful" and wanted to do more. With your generous donations, we will be able to provide much-needed support and love to these sweet faces.
In December 2019, we sponsored a Holiday dinner and health screening for nearly 300 people, including 50 students and their families!
In January 2020, we were able to purchase solar fans for the Special Education Classroom! These fans will provide comfort and a better learning environment.
In March 2020, Angie's school, Soaring Hawk Elementary, donated books and supplies for the class!
Moving forward we hope to continue raising funds to purchase land for an Inclusive and Accessible Special Education School and Community Resource Center in Angie's honor so that all students will have the resources and support to thrive in their community.
