SisterReach, founded in October 2011, is a Memphis, TN based grassroots 501c3 non-profit supporting the reproductive autonomy of women and teens of color, poor and rural women, LGBT+ and gender non-conforming people, and their families through the framework of Reproductive Justice. Our mission is to empower our base to lead healthy lives, raise healthy families and live in healthy and sustainable communities.
SisterReach is accepting workshop proposals from clergy, theologians, advocates, policymakers, philanthropists, healers, educators, etc., qualified to provide resources and vital information to participants.
The Faith & Advocacy Conference will provide necessary and valuable insight into the human rights framework of Reproductive Justice. There will be notable and renowned clergy, religious scholars, laypersons and social justice activists presenting to heal, educate and empower. The conference will be held in Memphis, Tennessee, August 28 - August 30, 2020. Our goals include:
1.Providing a brave space for discussions and topics at the intersection of social justice, religion and human rights
2.Introducing and educating participants on Reproductive Justice through a faith lens
3.Providing opportunities for training, organizing, and strategizing from an intersection of faith and social justice
4.Render ‘A Call to Action’ to inform, empower and mobilize around social justice issues
