Circle Keeper Workshop
Circles are a foundational practice of restorative justice. Circle Keepers are not facilitators - they are participants in the circle process tasked with keeping the circle aligned with restorative values. If you are the leader or participant in a group discussion that is seeking to actively engage everyone involved in the discussion, the Circle Keeper Workshop is a great place to start!
(Please note date change to Feb. 15, 2020)
This interactive workshop will demonstrate the community circle process and give each participant the opportunity to contribute to the circle discussion. Participants will learn the basic steps of the circle process and the foundational values to keep the circle respectful, engaging, and restorative. A lite lunch and snacks will be included.
Cost: We utilize a "pay what you can" model for these trainings to make sure this is open to anyone who is interested. The cost is approximately $35 but participants can pay an amount that fits their resources. If you can pay more, that extra funding can go to cover someone who can pay less. Participants who are not able to contribute are encouraged to use Time Bank credits. The training includes individualized follow-up support after the workshop to help with starting your first community circle. Space is limited, register today.
