The Community Fund of Darien simply could not do what it does without our volunteers. We are incredibly fortunate to be part of such a giving community!
Below are a few of our current opportunities. If you do not see an opportunity that interests you or one that matches well with your particular skill set, please email Charla Easterbrook to discuss other options.
- Darien Road Race: "day of" tasks such as set-up/clean-up, parking, marking and monitoring course; packet pickup day; secure sponsorships and auction items; and marketing/social media.
- Office Genie - pop in/out of TCF office as your schedule permits to provide administrative assistance and special projects; great for moms, recent retirees or individuals wanting to learn more about the nonprofit industry while adding skills to their resume;
- Grant Review Panelist - This role is at the heart of TCF! Panelists spend approximately 20 hours over a three month period reviewing grant requests in small group setting. Panelists evaluate and provide the due diligence required to ensure funding is distributed to the "best of the best" local nonprofits so that the biggest community impact is made. This is a great opportunity to learn about our most pressing community needs and the area nonprofits making a difference.
