Our Frankie and Andy’s Place 4th Annual Golf Tournament will be
on Friday 18th of September at the beautiful Lanier Island Legacy Golf Course and this
year promises to be our best yet!
This
year’s focus is on growing our Community Outreach Programs. We currently have 4 outreach programs to
include schools, adult daycare centers and senior living and our list is
growing! Witnessing the beautiful
relationships and healing power that Frankie and Andy’s Place has created with
these wonderful humans shows us the importance and need for this in the
community and we want to reach as many as possible!
We want to continue to make sure that each of the dogs gets the
best veterinary care when they need it and, with so many more dogs, that
means we have greater expenses in this regard. Our holistic veterinary partners
at the fantastic Gwinnett Animal
Hospital in Snellville do all they can to keep our costs as low as
possible but, as we grow in numbers, so do our care costs.
This year, with so many dogs in our care, and numbers growing
each month, we know our care bills will be higher than ever. The promise
that we make to all of our residents is that they will have love, life and
happiness when they come to live at the cabin and that means a commitment to
keeping them comfortable and pain-free.
This year, that is our main focus, and we want to thank you in
advance for all your support with this event to help us achieve our aim!
Frankie and Andy’s Place is a unique combination of senior dog
shelter and emotional healing center for troubled humans. A beautiful log
cabin, nestled in a picturesque Barrow County woodland setting, Frankie and
Andy’s Place is home to a small number of gentle, loving senior dogs who have
been cast aside by their humans and yet who still have many valuable gifts to share…These
gifts of sympathy, time, reassurance and unconditional love are then shared
with troubled humans in an atmosphere of calm and acceptance to help them mend.
Frankie and Andy’s Place…a healing collaboration between man and his best
friend.
