Walking Tall
Did you know...
Walking barefoot is very risky in Africa due to possible infection from contact with contaminated soil, the risk of animal bites, stings, and injury.
How you can help
Shoes prevent injury of disease, enable a person to walk in hazardous areas, help with healing of chronic foot conditions and improve quality of life. In Kenyan schools such as Lufumbo School in Western Kenya, shoes are provided for students who have to walk long distances to get to class. This provides an added incentive in the effort to help them continue their education and be safer doing it.
