Savanah Marie - My life with MBC
Savanah was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, also known as stage lV, at the early age of 24 years old. Since her diagnosis, Savanah has done a genetic test that test many genetic mutations and all have come back negative, which have left her team of doctors very concerned. Savanah is a beautiful young woman and a graduate of Texas State University. She is a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, and girlfriend. She keeps a constant smile on the faces on those she’s around. Her willingness to be there for others in times of need is admirable and overshadowed only by her inner strength and perseverance through tough circumstances. Within this last year, Savanah has had a double mastectomy, which involved removing 35 lymph nodes, many rounds of chemo therapy, 6 weeks of radiation and a liver ablation. She takes a daily hormone based chemo pill and receives a monthly injection. Every 3 months she will have scans done to make sure the cancer has not continued to spread. Despite all Savanah has been through, she remains strong and positive. Regardless of Savanah’s strength and our willingness to sacrifice everything, expenses exceed our means. The smallest amount will be received by grateful and thankful hearts. Help doesn’t only come in the form of money, we also ask for prayers. Our family thanks you. She is worth far more than rubies.
