Our Community in This Moment
Springbrook has taken a proactive approach throughout this world-wide crisis, prioritizing the health, safety, and well-being of the more than 1,100 people who choose Springbrook as a service provider and source of stability. In most cases, Springbrook has made programmatic and protocol changes in advance of our local, state, and federal authorities. We made the decision weeks ago to begin canceling events, and have decided to cancel all events in the foreseeable future, including the 2020 Springbrook Gala—This Moment, previously scheduled for April 18.
What does this mean for you? If you were planning to attend, but had not yet purchased your ticket, we ask that you consider making the purchase today. With no event taking place, your entire ticket purchase is a charitable donation to Springbrook, and we will maximize your generous donation. Here are just a few of the ways that a $200 gala “ticket” can make a difference today:
- Provide take out dinner for a Springbrook home from a local restaurant—giving our Dietary staff much needed support, giving staff and residents the variety and fun of “eating out”, and supporting local restaurants that are struggling throughout this time.
- Enable Springbrook to purchase gift cards for our employees to say ‘thank you’ for going above and beyond.
- Enable Springbrook to purchase fun Social Distancing tools like a Nintendo Switch and extra controllers for a house, additional iPads so residents can FaceTime with their families, and special learning apps for our residents and much more!
- Enable us to provide free childcare for essential employees at Springbrook so that they can continue to work during this critical time without the added worry and stress of finding childcare. The majority of our workforce is essential.
When we emerge from all of this and look back on This Moment in history, we hope to see a kinder, more united, and more generous community, led by people like you. Thank you for your understanding, partnership, and generosity.
